As a designer, visualizer, artist, explorer, tiny farmer, & evolving Yogi, living in the Bay Area, Caryn has worked for top firms in the industry, making the decision to work independently in 2013.
Caryn brings extensive and inspiring creativity to many aspects of environmental design, having created unique retail, restaurant, commercial design experiences & environments for a number of clients for over 20 years. Caryn prides herself in building genuine working relationships with those clients, which last beyond a single project.
Her experience encompasses all aspects of the design process, seamlessly integrating brand strategy, conceptual design, merchandise planning, design development, custom fixture design, & FF&E. If you simply need sketches or a rendering to illustrate your ideas to a client, Caryn has you covered.
Caryn earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the DAAP College at the University of Cincinnati. Caryn also studied in Milan while participating in a multidisciplinary study program.
Caryn has been inspired by those she studied under while in Milan, including Achille Castiglioni, Michele De Lucci, Antonio Citterio, Andrea Branzi, and Jim Postell to name a few. Santiago Calatrava, Terry Brown, Bruce Goff, Marc Newson, Chip Conley, Donald Judd, Miro, and Dali, have also inspired her. These creative minds have helped to awaken the many facets of her design sensibility.
